75 and sunny

I just snapped this shot, sorry for the so-so clarity. I had sun in my eyes and don't confuse myself with a professional photographer!

It is very nice here today which seems so bizarre to see the heat wave hitting out west. That must be coming this way soon so I should get outside and enjoy it while it lasts.

Patio tomatoes are getting oh-so close! Can't wait....

I have a shelf at a Flea Market! It is in Nixa Mo, called Finder's Keeper's. Superdude set up my display and snapped a photo:

This shelf will be my first retail location attempt, wish me luck! I am moving back to making the fabrication pieces more these days, cutting, soldering, hammering so the beads are more of a sideways slide into other jewelry making (typical me).

Hope you are having a glorious Sunday!

celestial jackpot? Summer Solstice and a Supermoon in one weekend

Looking for good news amidst all the bad these days? Me too.

Here are some things I found, hope you like them.

2013 Summer Solstice, Friday 6/21 is the longest day of daylight this year. I hope to watch the sunset each night this week.

2013 Super Moon, Sunday 6/23 for some reason this seems to have become a popular story, I think because it just sounds cool. Anyway I like this story http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-205_162-57590489/dont-fear-the-supermoon-nasa-says/

It is summertime and the livin' is easy: just a song stuck in my head but hey, it works.

Father's Day

Superdude, my husband, just finished his very last 2 week Annual Training for Nat'l Guard and is at Drill still today, finishing his last June weekend. He is retiring from NG 20 years. We've been counting down the months on this: (he didn't like my idea of shooting each month-guess I am more violent than him)

I feel a little sad today but it doesn't hurt, guess it might be more like melancholic nostalgia or some other technical psych term. I have had short term dad figures in my life and Father's Day sometimes seems a little lacking. Don't get me wrong, the good dad figures were worth the short terms, particularly my Grandpa who we lost too early and my stepdad who came late and we had for such a short time was a great dad. My dad is not too bad either, just not been an active engaged person to me that's all. I still love him for what he is, my father.

Looking at my life now, I am oh so thankful for the experiences, memories, wisdom and perspectives I have gained from my father figures. Most of all I am thankful to travel this path now with Superdude and see him be the father to Supergirl that makes me so proud.

Happy Father's Day!
Here are some photos of what we've been doing, seeing, living...

Quiet living time

I hope this post finds you safe and well. We've had so much excitement from Mother Nature lately and it has been a cool Spring, a mere 67 degrees today in the Ozarks, Brrr! Actually I am loving it.

This is what I call Quiet Living time, just going day by day, doing what I can and want and should to keep the wheels turning. I feel a shift inside and outside too, do you?

Sharing a few of the photos I have taken this Spring, hope you are enjoying yours!
