Super Salads extraordinaire

Health kick, diet deliciousness or just good eats--call it what you want, I love super salads and consider myself pretty darn creative with them. I prefer dark greens including spinach, baby kale, spring greens, herb mix and when in a pinch will settle for romaine and iceberg. I would like to experiment with other greens and have garden aspirations for some micro greens and others. The second most important salad component is the dressing and I do prefer my own concoctions usually of some olive oil, balsamic or any favorite new flavored vinegar, garlic pepper salt, sometimes other herb seasonings and voila! Or if I have an urge for creamy dressing, I go with my favorite plain yogurt and mix it with same seasonings, letting it mingle the flavors while I construct my masterpiece. The salad fixins' as some might call them are for me as random and as creative as the contents of my kitchen, sometimes with a theme and sometimes all about the contrast of flavor and texture and yes of course, color. I eat super salads often, maybe not everyday but just about. I am not counting calories but do try to keep in mind how much of the denser foods I have such as nuts, cheese, meats and avocado (not always though as you can see). Okay enough talk, let me show you some of these beauties that lasted mere minutes in this world and therefore deserved a photo. Am I crazy, obsessed and alone in this? Are there any fellow super salad junkies?

Are you still here?

Some of the movies I remember having the main character show up at the end of the credits and look straight at the camera saying "Are you still here? The movie's over, go home!" I think Ferris Bueller was one of them, wasn't it? I haven't left the blog here, I am still here, being a troll online and not talking much. All is well but status quo has been not enough if you know what I mean? I am looking for my muse or as usual with me, my muses, plural. Not a new project so much as a dig a little deeper in and make more of what is right there waiting for me to rediscover it. There is a word for it probably--not introspection but maybe exploration in, let me know if you think of that word! It may be important to my next metamorphosis as an artist, as a creative, as a student of life. Speaking of life here's a peak into mine! Happy Day to you...
